The sequence of peaks that comprise the main Glyders ridge runs roughly from Carnedd y Filiast to Glyder Fawr , then east to Gallt yr Ogof. A huge selection of walks, scrambles and serious rock climbs can be found on and around this ridge.
Elidir Fawr 924m 3031ft SH612613
Out to the west of Foel Goch is the attractive peak of Elidir Fawr, overlooking the upper lake of the pump storage scheme at Dinorwic.
Tryfan 915m 3002ft SH664594

Tryfan is the most famous peak in the Glyders, offering some great scrambles and rock climbs. These range from the easy North and South Ridges to grade 3 gully scrambles on the east face. The east face also provides numerous rock climbs, which finish on or near one of the three summits. There are also many climbs on the buttresses at the base of the North ridge.

Tryfan in the clouds

The summit features two uprights stones - known as Adam and Eve. The challenge is to step between them - exciting as you are at 3000 feet and on one side is a serious drop. Successful "jumpers" become freemen of Tryfan
