Hebog ridge

Separate from the Nantle Ridge are the three peaks of Moel Hebog, Moel yr Ogof and Moel Lefn, overlooking Beddgelert Forest.

Moel Hebog 783m 2569ft 115/SH565469
A tedious walk up the edge of the forest, onto a spur and finally on to the summit. The view makes it all worth while.
Moel yr Ogof 655m 2149 115/SH556479
A short "down and up" from the summit of Moel Hebog. The cave (in the name) in which Owen Glyndwr is said to have hidden from the English, is difficult to find.
Moel Lefn 638m 2093ft 115/SH553485
At the northern end of the Hebog ridge. A steep ascent / descent between the cliffs and the forest wall -and watch out for the slate pit.
Mynydd Mawr 698m 2290ft 115/SH539547
The Elephant Mountain - directly opposite Plas-y-Nant.  Go round to Drws-y-coed on the B4418, and climb Mynydd Mawr for the views - The Nantle Ridge, Snowdon, and the Carneddau on a clear day.

Nantle Ridge

This is the traverse of the ridge between Y Garn and Garnedd Goch. This is a superb ridge walk, with a short section of scrambling on the ridge between Mynydd Tal-y-mignedd and Trum y Ddysgl. Note that the the ridge is almost linear, so either you have to have 2 cars, a helpful driver, or traverse the ridge in both directions.

Y Garn 633m 2077ft 115/SH551526
Across the road from Drws-y-coed and Mynydd Mawr - the erosion scar of the concession path is not very attractive - it's not a pleasant descent - but once on the summit you have the whole of the Nantle ridge out to Garnedd Goch before you.
Mynydd Drws-y-coed 695m 2280ft 115/SH549518
Trum y Ddysgl 709m 2326ft 115/SH545516
Mynydd Drws-y-coed and Trum y Ddysl look like they might have been one much bigger mountain in the past - both have gentle south slopes that seem to match for a summit that has now gone - replaced with a deep and steep cwm.
Mynydd Tal-y-mignedd 653m 2142ft 115/SH535514
Mynydd Drws-y-coed 695m 2280ft 115/SH549518
Craig Cwm Silyn 734m 2408ft 115/SH525503
Good views from here of the ridge connecting Mynydd Tal-y-mignedd with Trum y Ddysgl
Garnedd-goch 700m 2297ft 115/SH511495
