The Pyg Track

Directions:- The Pyg track is a popular, well defined track. Start at Gorphwysfa Hotel at Pen-y-pass (at the head of the Llanberis pass). The Miner’s Track also starts here. Head through a wall, half right and up over the boulders. After about half-an-hour you reach Bwlch Moch, where the more energetic take the ridge walk of Crib Goch. Stay on the Pyg Track and skirt hillside under steep crags of Crib Goch. You are joined by the Miners Track, after which you bear right and up the famous Zig Zags up to Bwlch Glas, where the Pyg Track meets Llanberis path. Turn left up the fairly gentle walk to the summit - parallel to the railway.

Plas-y-Nant comment:- One of the classic walks in North Wales – widely varied terrain and scenery - brilliant.
