Directions from Plas-y-Nant to the Carneddau area.

  • Drive south on the A4085 towards Beddgelert.
  • The Snowdon Ranger track starts at the SNowdon Ranger Youth Hostel.  the Rhyd Ddu track starts at Rhyd Ddu
  • Alternatively, keep driving south on the A4085 to Beddgelert.
  • Bear left along the A498 towards Capel Curig.  The Watkin path starts from Nant Gwynant.
  • Continue along the A498 then turn left on the A4086 towards Pen-y-Pass and Llanberis
  • The Miners and Pyg tracks start from Pen-y-Pass
  • Continue along the A4086 to Llanberis where the Llanberis track and the Snowdon Mountain Railway start.
